At the end of February 2026, the United States and Israel launched joint air strikes against Iran, sharply escalating geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East. Iran blocked the Strait of Hormuz, disrupting global supply chains for energy, shipping and chemical products, which led to a sharp surge in prices of crude oil, steel, non-ferrous metals and chemical materials.

The Iran Conflict Triggers Raw Material Price Hikes for Poultry Farming Equipmen

Poultry farming equipment, including cages, feed lines, water lines, manure removal equipment and steel-structure poultry houses, mainly takes steel materials (Q235 carbon steel, galvanized steel), aluminum and zinc as core raw materials, accounting for 60% to 70% of the total equipment cost. Plastic accessories (feed pans, water drinkers, slatted floors), thermal insulation materials (polyurethane, glass wool) and sealing parts are highly dependent on chemical raw materials. Driven by the Iran conflict, the raw material costs of the poultry equipment industry have risen substantially, continuously squeezing profit margins and bringing severe challenges to industrial development.
